Barnegat Township Municipal Building, Barnegat New Jersey 08005

H2O POWERWASHING cleaned and restored the appearance of the Municipal Building roof.  The shingles had begun to show the black streaks caused by Gloeocapsa magma, which is an aggressive form of algae. This strain of algae feeds on the limestone granuales used in the manufacturing of todays roofing products Over time the granules protecting the surface of the shingle begin to loosen and wash off as the limestone is actually eaten away by the algae.

The Barnegate Municipal building had just undergone a renovation and upgrade. The grounds were landscaped  with the entire complex now looking new. The black roof stains were the last thing addressed. The roof shingles still had plenty of years of service remaining if the destructive algae could be removed. This is when the maintenance crew sought the roof cleaning expertise of Clyde Sampsel, the owner of H2O POWERWASHING.
